7:05 pm - Anyone ever ordered online ?

I used to buy hoodia gordonii pills offline, but pharmacy that has hoodia is far away and I'm tired of spending hours in transport.

Now found this site - http://www.buy-mega-hoodia.com
Is it ok to buy pills over the internet ?
Has anyone any experience with online pharmacy stores ? Is it safe ?

3:09 pm - Ruby Pounds the Pavement to Lose Weight

Looking for some inspiration to get in shape?

Try tuning in to Ruby, Style's hit reality show about Ruby Gettinger's battle with obesity.

"One day after watching, I was like, 'I need to go to the gym,'" recalls Molly Sullivan, 42, a human resources worker from Camarillo, Calif. "Ten days later, I joined a gym and now we're four months later and I'm losing weight."

And how's it going for Molly?

Molly has shed 41 pounds! So it was no surprise that she was among the the hundreds of people who came out yesterday morning to join Ruby (see photo above) on the Los Angeles stop of her nationwide "Walk Across America" tour.

"I saw these women crying on Oprah, talking about how they never went out of their homes," Ruby told us. "They're fighting the same thing I'm fighting, but I've always gone out my home. I was 716 pounds and I lived my life no matter what."

12:10 pm - please help

hello my name is Matt. I have no questions about dieting for me, but I need some help for my girlfriend. Ever since I've been going out with her, she at least once or twice a week will say shes fat and that she hates being fat. Personally, I dont think she's fat. She's very pretty and absolutly amazing. Anyways, yesterday we discussed dieting and I dont know much about it. I said I'd quit smoking as incentive.

A big problem is that I've seen some websites on her computer that are pro-ana which really hurts. I dont want her to end up like that. She also says she doesnt want my help but I'd feel like a real jerk if I didnt help and something happened. From my own experiences going through drug addiction, I wish I had someone to help and now I feel I can.

Can anyone give me some helpful tips? Please post them or send them to me @ paintedblack85@yahoo.com

thank you

Holy Crap. In the last few months I have managed to gain back half of the weight I lost (I lost about 20 lb. or so overall a couple years ago) and I have several pants and shirts I can no longer fit in or else can't fit in comfortably. I can't afford to buy new clothes and I don't *want* to have to buy any. School starts up again August 24th and I'm afraid I won't have anything to wear. It's already a struggle just to find things to wear now. I don't know how this happened. All I can figure is that I've been eating out a LOT this summer. :::sigh::: I need your help, LJers! I don't care if I just lose water weight as long as I lose *inches*. What can I do for a quick (albeit probably not that healthy) weight-loss? I have the Firm and DDR as far as exercise goes . . . but I don't know how often I need to do those for results. Obviously I need help with eating as well. I need to go to the grocery store and buy food and make it myself since food at restaurants has sooo much more calories and fat in them. It's just really hard to find time and energy to make food. Please, please, please-- any advice is very much appreciated.

10:48 pm - eek

Okay, well, I'm not sure if this is still a running operation, but I really have no where else to turn to. Maybe if I have strangers supporting me, rather than friends and family saying "Put down that ice-cream", I'll do better than I have in the past.

I am 19 years old, 5'7.5", and I haven't weighed myself lately, but I can guess that I am somewhere between 230 and 235lbs. The lowest I've been in the past six years is 201. My first goal is to get below 200. It's been such a long time, even that will feel nice. My main goal is to get down to 160. I'm fairly tall with broad shoulders, so I don't want to look sickly.

I know that I won't get to my main goal by July 28, but that is when I want to be below 200. I'm going to a very special concert and I want to look the best I can.

Now, here's the kicker that's made it next to impossible to lose weight: I have a genetic skin disorder called Epidermolysis Bollusa. Long story short, it causes abnormal blistering. Taking a three-block walk will cause me to have at least five blisters the size of nickels on my feet. Repetive motions like sit-ups will cause blisters on my back...So, I have no clue where to turn for excersize. I need help...Please help me.

9:56 am - Dieting

ok, So I said I would start the Atkins diet on January 5th. Well I did! On the scale I've been using at work, I started at 174 on 1/5. I always weigh myself in the morning before I eat or drink and with my clothing and shoes on.

It has been one week and I have lost 9lbs! I weighed in today at 165! I'm super excited.

I have also joined a gym and have begun working out three times a week with Cardio and weights. I have a personal trainer who's been helping me out for my first few weeks just so I can get an idea of what to do.

I've also bought the DDR game for the playstation. Dancing is hours of entertainment and exercise. I usually build up a good sweat in the process. I really recommend it for those of you that find working out to be boring (like me!) but want to get some cardio in.

Does anyone play sports?

Speaking of dieting/exercise.

Does anyone want to try one of those challenges, were you set your goals and a deadline and you have to follow through? Some use a daily points system or what not to keep track (Like one point if you exercised and one point if you didn't cheat on your diet, etc).

9:58 am - Diet Time

So, I'm enjoying my last week here of being diet free. On January 5th I'm recommitting to Atkins to lose those last 20 lbs that I've been talking about losing forever. I know that the only way I'm going to lose them is if I completely recommit to Atkins and do it right, all the way. Or else I'll be stuck at this 165 junction waivering around for the rest of my life.

I'll also be trying to exercise more. I got DDR for Christmas, and I'm going to try and dance everyday in order to lose some weight. We're also going to try and play more sports during the spring, either v-ball or soccer, and probably pick up softball again later in the season or early summer. I'm considering joining a gym, if they will take the coupon I have.

Is anyone else starting a diet commitment at the new year? What about exercise? What are your plans?

6:29 pm - Thanksgiving

Ok I have seen a lot of posts on the net these past few days about thanksgiving and how it usualy ruins any diets.

Here is something that might help.

Portion control.

Just make a tight fist, and have servings of mashed potaotes, cranberrys, yams, one roll, and whatever else no bigger then the size of that fist. The onluy exception is the white turkey meat, because its good for you you can have 1.5 fist sizes. and if you have some pie, make it a small thing slice.
there is such a variety of foods to eat this holiday that such small portions wont matter and you will get to eat everything and still get full without eating too much.

Happy turkey day everyone!

9:11 pm - New

Hello, I am new here! Kajouka knows me from being Jess's (slayer_buffy66)'s girlfriend.

I am here to find a better way of eating and to ultimately lose 5 or 10 pounds within two months or so. I'm 5'7 and 129 pounds. I have a little but of flab but I am no means fat or skinny.

I don't know what diet to do. I am in love with a girl who is basically anorexic - trying to recover - and I have never really eaten properly. It's always been junk junk junk or if there is healthy stuff I eat a TON of it, more than you are supposed to.

I am also a lazy fuck. I mean that with all my heart, I hate getting up and going for a walk or doing situps or whatever. I would rather just sit on my ass in front of the TV and eat chips and sandwitches all day.

I would love lips or anything from anyone. I can send Jess out to get any type of food I need. I'm not obsessive about losing this weight, it would just be nice to.

Thanks for everything.

3:09 pm - Elliptical

I don't think I spelled that right...

Anyway, last night I went to Amber's to work out and they had one of those elliptical machines there that somewhat resembles cross country skiing, but not quite. At any rate it was quite a workout! After about ten minutes I thought i was going to die, but i made it to 20. Also did a little treadmill, some weights, and some crunches. We plan on working out every week, which is good because then I can change up the routine each time as her workout room has different equipment from mine.

Tonight I'm doing pilates with Jess.

How is exercising coming for everyone else?

So fitday.com has 1 hour and 40 minutes of softball listed as 433 calories burned. I think that's pretty good for my first day of the challenge.

I also took a walk yesterday after lunch out to the unit and back - about 20 minutes overall.

Today I'm going to try and workout in our little apartment gym.
